Requirements for SLPs
To qualify for this exciting career opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- ASHA Certification: Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Strong CF candidates will be considered.
- State Licensure: Maintain current licensure as an SLP in the state(s) where services will be provided, in compliance with state licensing requirements.
- Clinical Experience: Demonstrate clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders.
- Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Reliable Transportation: Have access to reliable transportation for traveling to clients' homes within the designated service area.
